245,000 litres of paint redistributed in 2013!

posted 24.02.2014

As many of those that follow Recipro will be aware we are also a member of the Community RePaint (CRP) network since joining in August 2013. We are just one of over 70 schemes nationally who work to divert surplus reusable paint away from the waste stream and into individuals and groups that can make use of them.

It is fantastic to note that the most recently issued statistics submitted for the CRP network for 2013 has shown further growth from the previous year and has further highlighted the important work that the network is doing.

During 2013 the Community RePaint network redistributed over 245,000 litres of paint, that?s an increase of 12.38% on the previous year. This paint was distributed into nearly 20,000 individuals and groups including community projects, charities and those in social need. The impressive growth has no doubt been aided by the addition of the new members in the scheme as well as the ongoing support of Dulux who provided additional support in Community RePaint?s 20th anniversary year in the form of funding for schemes. Many thanks to all those that have supported the network in 2014 and we hope that it continues to go from strength to strength in the coming year.

Recipro currently has Community RePaint facilities at ReciproCity Wirral and ReciproCity East London.
