Community Repaint 2015 Stats

posted 27.03.2015

It has been another year of growth for the Community RePaint Network which as most of you will know Recipro are proud to be an active member.

This has seen growth in the number of members in the group up to 76 Repaint schemes as well as both the amount of paint collected and redistributed. The network has managed to affect the lives of more and more people as well once again proving the value of the work the network is undertaking which this year was recognised at the Green Apple Awards in London with the presentation of a Gold Award in the Community and Charity category.

This year the network collected approximately 446,000 litres (up from 410,000 litres in 2013) of paint and redistributed over 300,000 (up from 245,000 litres in 2013) of paint back into the community. This has helped in excess of 34,000 individuals and 3350 organisations all across the UK.

Here at Recipro we are delighted to announce that our own contribution to the network in our first full year was significant. We collected approximately 30,000 litres and redistributed 27,000 litres of paint.

2015 promises to be another big year for the Community Repaint network as it targets 500,000 litres of paint collected and seek to improve its percentage of redistribution further.  Here at Recipro we are aiming to contribute 10% of this overall target.

Research conducted shows that the UK throws away approximately 30 million litres of unused paint each year so the network still has plenty of potential for growth.  On behalf of the network as well as from our own scheme here on the Wirral we thank everyone who has supported the scheme in 2014 and look forward to your ongoing support in 2015.
