Jeremy Irons - Trashed Documentary

posted 11.03.2013
Award winning actor Jeremy Irons has taken time away from his Hollywood life in order to educate the world on the huge problems we’re all facing regarding our wasteful culture.

In the new documentary-feature film called ‘TRASHED’, Mr. Irons sets out to discover the extent and effects of the global waste problem, as he travels around the world to beautiful destinations tainted by pollution. This is a meticulous, brave investigative journey that takes Irons (and us) from scepticism to sorrow and from horror to hope.

When asked about the new film Mr. Irons said “"We've made this movie, because there are so many people who feel strongly the urgent need for the problem of 'waste' and 'sustainability' to be addressed. There is an equally urgent need for the most imaginative and productive solutions to this troublesome subject to be understood and shared by as many communities as possible throughout the world. This is where movies can play such an important role, educating society, bringing 'difficult' subjects to the broadest possible audience.”

Recipro would like to commend Mr. Irons for his commitment and dedication to educating the world about the harms we’re causing to the planet with our wasteful culture. Recipro was developed because the UK construction industry is responsible for 90,000,000 tonnes of materials being sent to waste streams ever single year! We can no longer carry on this way if we are to leave anything for the future generations.
